Mary has brought excellence, education and leadership to the profession of dentistry and dental hygiene since graduating in 2009 from the Dental Hygiene program at Niagara College. She joined Archer Dental through the D.E.A.R (Dental Elder Abuse Response) project when she sought out to be an educator to caregivers, family members and the public. Mary works hard to ensure a top-notch patient experience at Archer Dental, and is now the chosen Infection Control Officer for our Runnymede location.
Mary displays an exceptional amount of patience, kindness and compassion in her delivery of care. She helps our patients and their families by giving them one-on-one attention. Her organizational skills and spirit shine throughout the office and her warm smile and gentle hand keep her patients coming back and referring their loved ones. Mary’s favourite thing about being a dental hygienist is teaching patients how to develop best practices for at-home care.
Mary continues to lead her peers in both the College of Dental Hygienists of Ontario and the Canadian Dental Hygienist Association with her advocacy for older adults, making sure they receive quality oral care and personal follow up to ensure education and early prevention. She also volunteers her professional services to hospitals and long-term care facilities treating palliative, geriatric and special needs patients.
Outside work, Mary enjoys spending time with loved ones, traveling, attending concerts and staying active and healthy through yoga, volleyball and hiking.
